stormed the Akwa Ibom Government House
– The gunmen are said to be involved in
chaotic situation Information just coming in has it that no fewer than 100
militants have invaded the Akwa Ibom state Government House in a violent
protest, leading to break down of law and order in and around the Government
House and Uyo, the Akwa Ibom state capital in general.
Daily Trust learnt that the gunmen
requested that their names must be added to those in the amnesty programme and
that they must see the Akwa Ibom state governor Udom Emmanuel by all means.
Afterwards, policemen tried in all their efforts to disperse them with tear gas
and firearms.
