Photo: DSS parades 4 suspects in connection with the beheading of two Abia state University undergraduates in March

The Department of State Security in Abia state today paraded four suspected criminals in connection with the beheading of two undergraduates of the Abia State University, Uturu on March 11th this year. (Read here). According to the Director of the Department of State Security, DSS, Abia State, K. S. Kamoju who paraded the suspects at the state government house, the suspects aged between 21-25 were members of Burkina Faso cult. He stated that they were arrested at various locations in the state including the Michael University of Agriculture, Umudike and within the state capital.

The arrested suspects are 22 year old Chikezie Macdonald aka Starboy,a student of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, who is said to be the leader of the cult group,  25 year old Chukwuemeka Awom,who is the son of a herbalist, 21 year old Chidozie Obi and 23 year old Chigozie Francis Eberendu.

The DSS Director, Abia State, added that the attack occurred as a reprisal for the killing of late Collins Agu, a former leader of th Burkina Faso cult group in ABSU, by a rival cult group in the school.
