Saraki's trial: CCT Chairman orders security officers out of court room, warns against recording court proceedings

As the trial of Senate President Bukola Saraki continued at the Code of Conduct Tribunal CCT today April 27th, the Chairman of the CCT Danladi Umar, ordered that all security personnel attached to the senate president or any other top politician should henceforth stay out of the court room when the trial commences. Giving the order, Umar said his order was a safety measurement for all those present in court
“We have observed that some armed security agents are at the tribunal. We want such security men to stay outside. They should stay outside of the court hall not inside. It is for the protection of us here”he said
Umar also registered his displeasure about the recording from the CCT that was released on social media last week. In the video, the CCT chairman was seen ordering Saraki's counsel out of the court following the latter's action in court.

According to Umar, the use of electronic devices by individuals in the court and posting of such events online was unlawful and misleading to the public on what truly transpires in courtroom. He added that such acts would be dealt with henceforth.
