President Buhari failed to show up at the meeting the national leaders
of the APC called for with the hope of resolving all the issues
regarding the choice of candidates to field for the National Assembly
leadership election which has already taken place. According to reports,
President Buhari was meant to have presided over the meeting which was
to hold at the International Conference Center by 9am but he did not
show up.
Most of the Senators who were against Senator
Bukola's candidacy as Senate president were waiting at the venue of the
meeting with the president when the election at the Senate took place.
Senator Bola Tinubu, APC National Publicity Secretary Lai Mohammed and
some APC Governors awaited the arrival of President Buhari who never
showed up.
