NANS, drag ASUU to court over strike

IT is painful that members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) are not concerned about the plight of their students. Despite the pleadings from members of the public and students, ASUU has remained adamant. I am, therefore, suggesting that the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) should drag ASUU to court over its ongoing strike. If nothing is done urgently to make ASUU see reason in ending the strike, then I think it would be wise if NANS would simply institute a legal action against the leadership of the academic union. The statement that NANS would disrupt the academic session of students in private universities should not come up at all. Afterall, they are not responsible for the ASUU strike. The best thing NANS can do is to first enter a dialogue with ASUU, and when nothing comes out of it, then it should drag the union to court.
