A 39-year-old Nigerian drug peddler was arrested by the metro police's
Germiston crime prevention task team in Kempton Park, SA. He was found
in possession of five blocks of Cat estimated to be worth R25,000 on the
street. Methcathinone also called Cat is a recreational drug and
considered addictive.
It is either smoked, snorted, injected or taken orally.
The Nigerian man with a life-partner permit that expired in 2014, was
nabbed at the intersection of West and Central streets in the Kempton
Park CBD around 11am on Thursday, February 11.
A charge of possession of an illicit substance was registered at Kempton
Park Police Station and the suspect is expected to appear in Kempton
Park Magistrate’s Court soon.
