Explosions Rock Maiduguri As Boko Haram Relaunches Attack On Army Barracks

The 24-hour curfew imposed on Maiduguri and its environs following the deadly clash between Boko Haram terrorists and the military which led to loss of many lives has done little to deter members of the sect from their mission of destruction.

The army had Friday foiled a daring attack on Giwa Barracks, and had dealt with members of the sect, reportedly killing hundreds.
In what looked like a reprisal, multiple explosions and gunshots rocked the general area of the barracks at about 8:15am on Saturday.
Many of the terrorists were said to have regrouped and relaunched another attack on the barracks early Saturday.
According to an eyewitness, the ongoing multiple explosions and sporadic gunshots have forced many residents flee the area.
